Mumbai Indians battle it out against Kings XI Punjab at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai after both the teams in IPL 2015 suffered defeat in their opener matches. Mumbai Indians vs Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) was won by seven wickets by KKR on Wednesday, while Rajasthan Royals (RR) vs KXIP by 26 runs in the IPL 2015 match on Friday. Both teams have bag full of superstars. If Kings XI Punjab have the lights of Maxwell, Miller, Sehwag, Murali Vijay, Johnson. Mumbai boasts of players like Rohit Sharma. Pollard, Corey Anderson and Malinga.

Although Mumbai has had problems with their batting, their skipper Rohit Sharma is in superb form and struck an unbeaten 98 against KKR in the opener match in IPL 2015. Punjab Starts Good but Mumabi Contain them in the Middle Overs

Kings XI Punjab got to a brilliant start with Sehwag and Vijay both striking the ball brilliantly. Punjab got a dream start but then the lights of Harbhajan Singh, Malinga and other new spinner contained them pretty well. George Bailey tried very hard while providing them a backup in the middle overs but could'nt strike that good in the last couple of overs and finished the innings with 61 Runs of 32 Balls where Kings XI Punjab finished at 177 Runs at the end of 20 overs.

Kings XI Punjab came out positive with Sandeep Sharma and Anirut Singh into the attack and Sandeep Sharma taking Rohit Sharma's wicket on the First Ball of the innings, Mumbai Indians 0/1, with Rohit LBW Sharma.

Mumbai begin on a negative note and didn't pick up in the first 5 overs as Anirut Singh took the second wicket to put MI on the backfoot. Mumbai were 17/2 after the end of 5 overs.
